I don't know if "amazing" would be the word I would first choose in 1:5 for what God was about to bring on with the Babylonians. Amazing almost has too much of a 'positive' meaning in my mind. But I guess if amazing just means astonishing, powerful, surprising...then it works.
I guess after God tells Habakkuk what will happen, his next question immediately is why would He 'help' evil people like the Babylonians in the process. Not that we would ever questions God's methods! HA!
As Habakkuk expresses his impatience with evil people prospering it makes me wonder if we are more upset by injustice when evil people prosper or when people suffer for no apparent reason. We should be more upset at the latter...all the victims of injustice in the world. But we tend to dwell on people who do not get what we think they deserve.
