Day 215: 2 Chronicles 32-33

My notes point out that Hezekiah made 2 important decisions in chapter 32 when faced with the frightening prospect of an Assyrian invasion.  He did everything he could to deal with the situation and he trusted God for the outcome.  This is exactly what we should be doing in scary situations in our life.

An interesting sentence in the midst of all the bad things Manasseh did was: "The Lord spoke to Mannasseh and his people, but they paid no attention."  Even in the middle if doing unspeakable evil things, God keeps trying.  Yet they didn't even reply negatively when God spoke to them.  They flat out ignored Him.  

My daughter has a friend named Mannasseh.  I don't think that is a name I would have considered after reading about this guy.
