Day 214: 2 Kings 20-21

Manasseh was awful!  Was there anything he didn't do?  Scarified his kid, led the people in idol worship (in the temple even!), and shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end!  I can't think of much more that he could have done in rebellion against God.  It makes me think about how much things can change in just one generation.  From Hezekiah to Manasseh....a world of difference.  It brings up the whole nature vs. nurture argument.  Or can a good king be so caught up in doing "good" things that the next generation is kind of ignored and rebellion is the result?  I'm sure becoming king at 12 years old is also a factor.
