Day 225: Jeremiah 23-25

At the beginning is a really strong warning to leaders today.  God has put them in their roles...the punishment will be harsh for misleading people.

I am trying to think who false prophets are in our world today.  Definitely they are those who claim to be preaching the Bible, yet distort it to something it isn't.  I guess they might also be considered to be those who promote ideas that are more worldly rather than of God..."The most important thing is that YOU feel good"..."You have to look out for number one"...God helps those who help themselves."  Are those considered 'false prophecies' or just worldly advice?  Not sure.

Interesting that God will use the Babylonians to teach Jerusalem a lesson and to bring them back to Himself.  But when the 70 years are over, he will punish the Babylonians for their guilt.
