I guess Ahab thought he could escape God's judgement by disguising himself. I like the way it says someone drew his bow 'at random' and Ahab was hit. That's like calling things that God does 'coincidences.'
Up to this point Jehoshaphat was doing a pretty good job. But by aligning himself with evil Ahab, his life took a bad turn. Once again, the power of who we align ourselves with is illustrated.
