Day 162: 1 Kings 5-6, 2 Chronicles 2-3

I would love to have seen the temple!  I thought it was interesting that they did all the cutting and shaping of stones far away because even the sound of the labor would not be pleasing to God.

And once again I am blown away by the number of people involved.  I guess without modern machinery, it is not so amazing.

My notes reminded me that the spot where the temple was built (Mt. Moriah) was the same place God stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac.  David purchased the land when it was a threshing floor.  Truly holy ground.
