I notice that it says 'when' and not 'if' for things like being defeated by enemies, famine/plagues, drought, etc. coming. Solomon seemed to know that even thought life was good for Israel right now, things would change. I wonder how the people felt hearing this at the big dedication ceremony. And when God responds, he says the same thing in 7:13. When and not if. I wonder if you are told you are going to be disobedient, it makes it easier to be disobedient?
7:14 offers a good 4 step description of repentance: humble. seek. pray. turn.
HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!!
