Day 166: Psalm 134, 146-150

134 is a song we used to sing.  I never thought to myself, "this is a song about the Levites", but it is.

My notes point out that Psalms 146-150 overflow with praise.  Here is what they say praise does:

1. take our minds off us and places focus on God
2. leads us from individual meditation to corporate worship
3. causes us to consider and appreciate God's character
4. lifts our perspective from earthly to heavenly

I love 149:4  "for the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation."  GOD takes delight in ME.  so cool.
