Day 6: Job 10-13
It impresses me that Job and his friends have a relationship where they can say sometimes harsh things to each other, but it doesn't seem to hurt the friendship. (I see they go on talking for a REALLY long time yet! :-)) Even though much of what they say is off track, they are still willing to be bold and speak into each other's lives. I think very few friendships today are at this level.

In chaper 10 whild Job was feeling sorry for himself he said in verses 4-7
ReplyDelete4 Do you have eyes of flesh?
Do you see as a mortal sees?
5 Are your days like those of a mortal
or your years like those of a man,
6 that you must search out my faults
and probe after my sin-
7 though you know that I am not guilty
and that no one can rescue me from your hand?
It got me to thinking about God's gift of Jesus and how YES, he came with eyes and flesh in Jesus. While I'm sure that Job wasn't talking specifically of Jesus it had me thinking that ultimately we can not say these things. Jesus came to earth was tempted just as we are and yet remained sinless. For this, today, I'm am thankful.
