How cool is it that Judah, the brother who wanted to sell Joseph was the same one who redeemed himself by offering his life for Benjamin's!
I also think it was cool how Joseph credited the whole plan to God. Even the bad parts that involved suffering. He could see the ultimate purpose (saving Egypt from famine as well as his own family). I don't always see the ultimate good outcome in a situation, but I have to remember to trust that God IS working it out for his purposes.

First, I want to say Great Job Beth, on keeping this going! You are doing a great job and helping keep me on track!
ReplyDeleteI think the story of Joseph shows us again(like Job), just how faithful God is to His promises! BUT there are tests, trials, and challenges that come our way in the mean time and we just need to hold on and have faith in God, who is bigger than our circumstance and always Faithful!

Yeah for two snow days! I am finally caught back up in my Bible reading. 29 chapters of Genesis and it was a good read.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to echo the sovereignty of God. It is a comfort to know that we can't mess up His plans. He is in control, no matter what we do. At the same time being able to think how amazing it would be to totally live a life with trust in God. I can only imagine the peace you would feel, even in the hard times. God wants that for us and that is what we should be working on. I think faith and trust take practice and get stronger with time.
