Day 19: Genesis 22-24

I love the story of Isaac and Rebekah! Especially the servant and the way he handled the mission. First he asked God to guide him in his task and to show him what he was supposed to do. His immediate response when he realized that God had led him to a girl from Abraham's own family was immediate praise and worship. When he gets to Rebekah's father's house, he shares the whole story, giving credit to God through the whole thing. To include God in all decisions I make, to respond with worship and then to tell others what God has done.....that sounds like an awesome way to live day by day!

Have a great week!!

  1. Abraham was so obedient to God. He was willing to sacrifice his own son, if that is what God asked. Several things to notice. The fear of God is incredible. I think that I often lose sight of that side of God. Abraham's obedience is complete, immediate, and without question. I would love to be able to live in complete peace trusting in God. I can not imagine being asked to sacrifice that much. My prayer is that I would be obedient too. I never feel like I hear God that clear that I would be willing to do that. I need to work on fine tuning my listening and obedience.
