Day 16: Genesis 12-15

When Abram lied about Sarai being his sister and not his wife, it was because he wasn't fully trusting God's promises (about his future). It seems like a lot of lies that people make in general are because they are not trusting God. One of the primary motivations for people lying is to make themselves look better...so if they fully see themselves the way God sees them, they wouldn't feel the need to cover up things or deceive other people. I can just see God, shaking his head and saying, "Abram, I told you I was going to make a great nation through your offspring....why do you think these people are going to kill you?!?!?"
