Day 22: Genesis 30-31

I'm just not much of a fan of that Laban. Based on all his actions and schemes, it wasn't surprising to find out that his life revolved around stone idols in his home rather than God who Jacob knew and served.

I hope you are enjoying your reading. I know I am and even if no one out there is reading this blog, that's okay because it's keeping me on track and forcing me to process what I read on another level.

  1. I already have a Bible reading/devotions schedule, so I didn't join in on this one, but I am reading the comments once a week. I enjoyed your thoughts about our kids watching us. I have thought a lot about this recently and the promises God makes about blessing our children if we follow Him, as well as the sins being carried along through generations too. I've decided that when we follow God our children will see this and hopefully follow Him too, but many times our sins also become our childrens. I am trying to work on my sins, because I have seen them emerging through my kids and it isn't pretty. I pray that my spouse sees the effects too. We can only have success with God's help, so I have to remember to pray that God works with us to make the necessary changes in me and my family so we can better glorify Him.
