Day 24: Genesis 35-37

It struck me that even though God established a covenant with Abraham that would continue through the generations, he re-established that covenant with Isaac and then Jacob. It really is similar to the covenant that we have with God. Just because my parents made a commitment to God, it was still up to me to make my own commitment. The same thing is true of my own kids. It would be nice if my salvation could be inherited, but unfortunately it can't.
