This is one of my favorite stories! I just love the way it plays out. Of course when I read it I picture Donny Osmond as Joseph since he played the part in the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". I might have to watch it again this week! HA!
I love Jacob at the beginning of chapter 42. He sees that his family is starving... wants to help and says to his sons "Why do you just keep looking at each other?...Go down there and buy some grain for us". Just seems such a contrast to the sons' earlier actions. They were so quick to do something about Joseph and now they are just sitting there looking at each other. Go do something about it!
ReplyDeleteSo often, i feel like that... Why am I just sitting here looking?... go do something. God so desires for us to be people of action not just bystanders in life. (James 1:22, 2:14-17 Faith, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.)
So... "Why do you just keep looking at each other?... Go down there"!
