Day 359: 2 Peter; Jude

"His divine power has given us EVERYTHING we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." That is not just 'he helps us' or 'he is a great addition' to our lives. He give us EVERYTHING we need for life! But there is more to that sentence...'through our knowledge of him.' That seals the deal for me. I am not done with daily reading when I finish this year up. I am absolutely going to keep going.

And then the next verses go on to say that this knowledge will be ineffective and unproductive if they are not practicing goodness, self-control, godliness, brotherly kindness and love. I don't ever want to reach that point either.

Harsh words for false teachers in Chapter 2!

The doxology shouldn't be skipped over at the end of Jude. I love the first part. "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy..." Being sinless is so hard for me to even imagine! But that is how I will appear to God THROUGH CHRIST. Awesome.
