Day 344: Romans 11-14

I am intrigued by the verse that says salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. Surely that is not the ONLY reason.

I think this is an important verse....You do not support the root, but the root supports you. I think many Christians can be come arrogant and think that God moving forward in the world is dependent upon them.

I'm sure the concept of 'living sacrifice' had a whole different meaning to the original hearers of this letter! Here were people who had practiced animal sacrifice and now they were hearing that their very everyday lives were what God wanted.

Chapters 12-14 have such powerful guidelines for living, and especially loving people.
