Day 354: 1 Peter

"In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope...and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade." No matter how awesome anything on earth is when it is new (a house, car, shoes, etc.), it eventually gets old, wears out, gets ruined. There is only one thing that is different. Our eternity with God.

"Love one another deeply, from the heart." Do I do this? I'm afraid too often not.

Again and again this theme of living as aliens in this world. I know how I feel when staying in a different city in a hotel. I feel somewhat "off", out of sorts, not entirely sure of my surroundings. I should always feel that way about even my house and places I go all the time. This isn't my home. I'm just visiting!
