Though not true in Job's case, I find this to be an interesting statement: "Your sins are telling your mouth what to say. Your words are based on clever deception. Your own lips testify against you." How often does our sin affect what we say; how we defend and justify our sin behaviors; how we treat other people for our own selfish gain.
It seems to me that Eliphaz is putting worldly wisdom before Godly wisdom. He is relying on what old, gray wise men say about God.
I wonder if Job had any concept of another player in the story. Did people attribute occurrences to Satan in that day? They seem to be dwelling on whether bad things were caused by God with no mention of Satan being involved. Just a thought.
