Chapter 31 has Job running through a list of what he considers possible justifications for his suffering. I think so often when something bad happens in a person's life, they think to themselves (or say to others) "What have I done that is so bad to deserve this happening to me?" I think we, too, want 'our day in court.'

Day 11: Job 29-31
Chapter 29 makes me wonder "Do I remember the good old days better than they really were?" Yeah, Job's current suffering was pretty intense, but was his former life really as awesome as he describes it? He talks about his previous thinking that he would die at an old age surrounded by all his loved ones. I think that is a pretty common dream and assumption.
