An interesting sentence at the end of chapter 4: "That's when men and women began praying and worshiping in the name of God." Why not before then? What happened at this point to bring this about?
Here is how The Message states God's observation of the world in chapter 6: "People thought evil, imagined evil--evil, evil, evil from morning to night. God was sorry that he had made the human race in the first place; it broke his heart. As far as God was concerned the earth was a sewer; there was violence everywhere."
