Day 12: Job 32-34

I think so many older Christians need to read the first part of Elihu's speech. I think this is part of why they can be so resistant to change in the church. The Spirit brings Godly wisdom, not 30 years of experience (although not to say that there isn't value in experience.)

There is definitely some youthly arrogance to Elihu's words, but he seems a little closer to truth than the other 3 in chapter 33. However, I still think he is a little too black and white. "If you sin, there will be bad consequences (on earth) and if you repent those bad things will go away," is what I am taking away from this.

"He prevents the godless from ruling so they cannot be a snare to the people." Sorry, Elihu...I have read through Kings. Not true.
