In chapter 1 the sacrifices were displeasing to God because the people were (1) trying to be as cheap as possible, (2) not caring how they offered a sacrifice, and (3) being outright disobedient to what God required. I wonder which of these I am most guilty of. Is this how God views our offerings when when begrudgingly throw $20 in the offering plate because it is all we think we can afford after we just went and spent $50 at a restaurant the night before?
God was really angry with the priests and rightly so. When people look to you to learn God's will, that is a huge responsibility!
"I hate divorce." It doesn't get any clearer than that.
Why can't more people accept God's challenge concerning tithing in 3:10? He tells us to test Him! When he says "He will throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. All the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land." Who doesn't want that!?!??!
See you in a few hundred years.....tomorrow.
