Day 253: Ezekiel 42-43

Ezekiel was so privileged to see what he saw.  It must have been so overwhelming to "see" so much suffering and judgment, but the joy he must have experienced when he "saw" God's glory return to the temple and the people!

My notes say that 43:18-27 was a vision that simultaneously flashes back to Mount Sinai and forward to Mount Calvary.  Cool.  When the people returned from exile, they would seek forgiveness through the sacrificial system instituted in Moses' day.  Today, Christ's death has made the forgiveness of our sins possible, making us acceptable to God.
