In chapter 22 it says that God will make Jerusalem an object of scorn to the nations and a laughingstock to all the countries. I wonder how these others viewed them. I can't imagine it did much to point them towards God. But then again at this stage in history, I think it was all about Israel.
A strong image of God's refining furnace and calling the people dross.
Wow. Chapter 23 is a powerful allegory for what Jerusalem and Samaria had been doing and how God viewed it.
