Day 209: 2 Kings 18:9-19:37; Psalms 46, 80, 135

In the Bible it is very clear that certain things are the consequences of disobedience.  It flat out tells us that "this happened because they had not obeyed the Lord their God, but had violated his covenant."  I wonder if our stories were written down like this, which things that happen in my life are actually consequences for disobedience.

I am reminded in today's reading that God is just not the God of individual lives, but he is the God of nations.  Countries and kingdoms only come to power and are conquered because it is his perfect will.
