Day 189: 2 Kings 15; 2 Chronicles 26

Okay, I am just casually reading along until I get to the sentence about ripping open all the pregnant women!  Wow.

I am reading about kings who were 'basically' good, except that they did not tear down the alters and high places.  To me this is huge and I am surprised they still get the epitaph "he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord."  If you can't get the most important thing (who you worship) right, are you still considered a success?  I guess there are still consequences (like leprosy, etc.).

Uzziah was getting so much right.  But then he reached the point where he thought he was above the law.  So easy for people of power.
