My notes point out that although the Israelites had every reason to hate Egypt, Judah was still considering an alliance with them! 19:20 speaks again of Jesus and that he will be coming for EVERYONE, even their enemies. I'm sure they were not always thrilled to hear this.
22:13 speaks to the people giving up hope. Obviously they believe the "doom prophecy" to an extent, but yet they still don't have any reliance on God or the hope that if they repent, God will still rescue them. I think people still reach that point today. They just think they are too far gone.
