Day 139: 2 Samuel 19-21

I am struck by how quick the Israelites switch their loyalties...David to Absalom and then right back to David.  Not sure but Chapter 19 to me seems like different people coming before David who is back on the throne with various business matters which he must attend to.

The woman in chapter 20 was definitely brave.  I'm sure that Joab had quite a reputation as being ruthless, and for her to even speak to him was probably risky.  But her actions saved a whole city!

In 21 it is hard to understand David turning Saul's descendants over to be killed.  We don't know that they were bad people.  Apparently it was a cultural thing.
