Day 52: Leviticus 24-25

I like the concept of manager vs. owner. It's true that when we own something, we get greedy with it and we take it for granted. But when we manage something (that is owned by someone else...God), we tend to do our best to take care of it because it is not really ours. When I was an assistant manager of a restaurant for a year, I did all I could to help make the business successful. Partly because it was my job and I needed a paycheck, but also because I cared about the owners and I wanted them to be successful and hopefully someday expand. If I had owned the restaurant, it would have been more about MY survival and success. I will try to remember that I am merely the "manager" of my kids, my resources, etc.
