Interesting fact: Holiness is mentioned more times (152) in Leviticus than in any other book of the Bible.
My Bible describes this book as a training manual for the priests and Levites outlining their duties in worship, and a guidebook of holy living for the Hebrews. How does this help us today? It helps us avoid taking our relationship with the same holy God too lightly. We learn about the holiness and majesty of the God with whom we are allowed to have a personal relationship.

So I know that I am over a week behind and this probably will not get read, but I thought I would post anyway!
ReplyDeleteGod was so specific in how we were supposed to approach him and make sacrifices. I am very thankful that all of that is not needed any more. I do wonder though if sometimes I approach God way too casually. Does he mind or does He like it that it is so casual?
It is nice to have Him just a thought away now, but I need to remember that does not make Him any less of a God. He should still be respected and looked to with awe.
