It is clear that the tribe which was responsible for worship (Levi), had an important genealogy and heritage. This seems to be a more extensive listing than the other tribes. And it is also important to note that they were given towns in each of the other tribes' areas so that there were opportunities to worship and sacrifice no matter where an Israelite lived.
But I am glad we are alternating days reading Psalms with Chronicles. Phew!

I am glad that God remembers all of the people and I guess some people would find the family trees interesting. I sure get lost trying to read it. I agree Beth, I am glad that we are alternating with some Psalms.
