Psalm 44 is reminiscent of Job to me. The Psalmist is trying to figure out what they did wrong to deserve what was happening to them. However, I think this is a totally different case from Job. This time they actually HAD strayed from God and were not being obedient.
My notes describe Psalm 45 as a Messianic psalm and as I re-read it, I can definitely see it. It describes Christ's future relationship with the church. Awesome.
49 is a good psalm explaining that "he who dies with the most toys...still dies."
A good note on this verse (84:11): "No good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." God does not promise to give us everything WE think is good, but he will not withhold what is permanently good.

Alright I am not going to finish this in one year, but I will finish it. I am going to get back on target and give this another shot. Thank goodness God is gracious!
ReplyDelete"Will you not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You? Show us your mercy, Lord, And grant us Your Salvation" Psalm 85: 6-7.
That is exactly what I need, a spiritual revival. It is nice to know that I am not the only one who has felt this way. I want to rejoice in the Lord.
