Day 326: James

Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials. Wow, that is so hard to remember. It is not just saying be comforted by God's peace to get through tough things. We are supposed to consider it PURE JOY. That sure gets your attention at the beginning of this great book.

V. 15 desire.....sin.....death It is a progression that we need to be aware of every day.

Good reminders in chapter 2 about showing favoritism. I would love to be able to see all people with God's eyes. We have so many biases in the way we treat people.

One of the best claims in all of scripture: "I will show you my faith by what I do."

There are so many great verses in James. "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you." "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
