Day 324: Acts 11-12

I love the 12:5. "So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him." That verse alone shows the power of prayer. Just the word 'but' makes me see that it had an affect. And of course the rest of this chapter shows that it did!

I also love the scene when Peter shows up at the house where the believers are earnestly praying for him in prison. How awesome to see your prayer answered so clearly and so immediately.

"But the word of God continued to increase and spread." No matter what the situation, no matter what people who opposed the Christians did to them. Is the same true today?
