Day 319: Luke 24; John 20-21

I have heard that it is harder for scientists to have faith in God. And today we read Dr. Luke's account. All of his medical training must have screamed out to him that people who are dead DO NOT rise again. And yet we don't see any skepticism at all in this account.

Interesting that Luke does not include the Great Commission. But he does include the wonderful story of the travelers on the way to Emmaus.

I think John 20: 23 could be misinterpreted. It sounds like Jesus is giving the disciples the power to forgive sins. My notes say that Jesus was giving them the privilege of telling new believers that their sins have been forgiven because they have accepted Jesus' message. We have that very same privilege! Why don't I use it more?

Thank you God for the Gospels and the stories they hold so that we can know that Jesus is God and He is our way to You.
