Day 323: Acts 9-10

The concept of "persecuting God" caught my attention. The terms just don't seem to fit together. Persecuting to me means suffering and how can God suffer? But the context is when Saul is persecuting early Christians. Since these people in The Way are the "body of Christ", it makes perfect sense.

I think it is so typical that people were skeptical of Saul/Paul. They, like us, are so unwilling to believe that God really changes people. Yeah we use the sound bites of "new creation" and say we believe them, but so often we don't really think someone truly changes.

I love the way the whole vision with the clean and unclean animals and the story with Cornelius fit together. God uses different ways, sometimes simultaneously, to communicate things to us!
