Day 311: Matthew 24

Although this is pretty much the same reading as we did yesterday, a verse jumps out at me. "Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved." I think true love is becoming more and more rare in our world. We are selfish far more often than we are selfless. How can this person benefit me? What am I getting out of this relationship? No benefits?....move on. Here is what my notes say: With false teaching and loose morals comes a particularly destructive disease - the loss of true love for God and others. Sin cools your love for God and others by turning your focus on yourself. You cannot truly love if you think only of yourself.
