Day 302: John 11

I love how Jesus knew that Lazarus would be alive again and he still was deeply moved in spirit and troubled and even wept. My notes say this could have been one of 2 things: he empathized with their grief OR he was troubled at their unbelief. I believe it was the first. Anyone who does not associate deep emotions with God is missing such an important characteristic. So many people equate emotions with weakness. I guess I think just the opposite.

I chuckle at the brief prayer right before Jesus calls Lazarus from the tomb. It's like he is saying "Hey dad, I know we are together on this thing, but I need to say this just because other people are watching me right now." Cute.
